Family
and friends have paid their last respects at the funeral of daytime TV
host Michelle Watt after she is believed to have killed herself
following a botched spinal procedure.
Mourners
arrived at St Mary's Church in Kirkintilloch, near Glasgow, earlier
today where a moving service for the 60 Minute Makeover host was held.
Around
500 people crammed into the church, including the TV star's father,
boxing pundit Jim Watt, singer Michelle McManus, and former boxer Glenn
McCrory.
The
38-year-old television presenter took her own life after being left in
crippling pain following a lumbar puncture procedure, her family have
revealed.
Boxing
promoter Tommy Gilmour and sports commentator Ian Darke also joined
Michelle's husband Paul Kerr, 43, father of her five-year-old daughter
Jaymi, in the congregation.
Mr
Watt helped carry his daughter's white coffin into the church along
with Mr Kerr as one of her favourite songs 'The Rose' was played.
Reverend Mark Johnstone described Miss Watt as a 'shining light' loved by all who knew her.
He said: 'Michelle relished the opportunity to shine, to sparkle, and she lit up every room she was in.
'She had over 2,000 hours of live television experience. Her reputation was strong and her name was valued.
'Everyone who worked with her said she lovely, she was genuine and she was a pleasure to be with.'
He added: 'Paul was her soul mate. They met when she was 14 and he proposed to her on top of the Eiffel Tower.
'They were married and they both doted on their daughter Jaymi.'
Following the 45-minute service, the mother-of-one was laid to rest at nearby Auld Aisle cemetery.
Her coffin left the church service in a white carriage led by two white horses as locals lined the streets to watch.

Miss Watt, who presented 60 Minute Makeover and STV's The Hour, was found dead in her home in Airth, Stirlingshire, last month.
Last
week, former lightweight world champion Mr Watt told how the spinal
procedure he hoped would help to cure his daughter pushed her into a
depression that eventually drove her to suicide.
Last year, Miss Watt became worried about her health after suffering headaches and blackouts.
She
believed a lumbar puncture that tests for certain brain conditions
would provide a diagnosis. But instead, according to her father, the
procedure left her in constant pain, tipping her into deep depression.

Floral
tributes were signed with 'infinity and beyond', while the order of
service bore the message 'she who leaves a trail of glitter is never
forgotten. Fly high Michelle'
The
66-year-old, who lost his son Jim junior in a car crash 20 years ago,
said: 'She hadn't had a decent night's sleep since the procedure, and
not sleeping is an illness in itself.
'It was a terrible time for Michelle and compounded into a deep depression.
'At that point she wasn't answering texts from friends; she shut the world out.'
He said the death of Michelle, who he described as 'a shining light', meant he and his wife Margaret would never be happy again.
He added: 'Losing one child is a nightmare but losing two children is just beyond thinking of - but it's happened.

The 60 Minute Makeover presenter
(pictured on the show) was unable to sleep and lost her spark following
the procedure, her father revealed
'I don't think we're going to find the time to be happy again.
'I was in my forties when we lost wee Jim and I didn't think about it consciously at the time, but we had time on our side.
'We don't know if we'll ever be happy again and that's hard to take, on top of losing Michelle.'
After
her lumbar puncture, Miss Watt underwent MRI and CAT scans which
revealed that she had calcium deposits on her optical nerve.
But by that point she was suffering from chronic headaches as a result, her family said, of the procedure on her spine.
The
lumbar puncture operation is believed to have resulted in a cerebral
spinal fluid leak, a chronic condition that leaves sufferers in agony
with loss of sight, hearing and numbness.
The fluid surrounds the brain so that it floats inside the skull. A cerebral spinal fluid leak causes the brain to sink.
