An odd combination of humanity came together in Anaheim, California on Sunday morning.
Reality
star Kris Jenner, 59, and actress Melanie Griffith, 57, both visited
the Honda Center in that city in order to meet the Dalai Lama.
While
the spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism focused on his multi-day
summit in honour of his 80th birthday on Monday, Kris and Melanie were
more inclined toward selfies.

Kris
snapped one photo showing the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star in
the foreground, with Melanie and the Dalai Lama behind her.
The
famed religious leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner was facing the
other direction at the time and may not have realized he was part of a
selfie.

Kris wrote as a caption.

A
second image from the event was posted by Kris as well, this one
showing only the 14th Dalai Lama, who has held that position since 1950.

With Melanie dressed in red and Kris wearing white, the two celebrities posed for a photo after the morning's event.

from the Dalai Lama event, Kris' busy social-media morning next included
an image of the British Grand Prix winner and one of Kendall Jenner

than just a birthday party, the multi-day celebration of the Global
Compassion Summit will include talks on climate change and the
importance of compassion.
Busy
with the summit and his other duties, the Dalai Lama has not remarked
upon his inclusion in a selfie seen by Kris' 7.3 million Instagram
followers.

Had
he checked out the reality star and momager's account, the Dalai Lama
would have had a chance to see a photo of Kendall Jenner in a runway
show and one of Lewis Hamilton winning the British Grand Prix.
Those two photos followed within one hour of the Dalai Lama's, indicating a very busy morning for Kris.
The Buddhist leader will speak at several more events in the next few days before his schedule takes him from California to New York City on Thursday.
