Titillating: Laverne Cox put on a rather racy display in black pasties
while performing at the 25th annual Broadway Bares event in New York on
Sunday night
She is best known for wearing a drab prison jumpsuit in Orange Is The New Black.
But Laverne Cox recently slipped into something much more revealing.
The
31-year-old actress put on a rather racy burlesque performance at the
25th annual Broadway Bares event in New York on Sunday night

She rocked a
pair of black pasties for the titillating act at the event that raises
money for Broadway Cares/ Equality Fights AIDS.
Laverne
showed off her best dance moves as she worked the stage during the
sultry performance to the tune of Jennifer Lopez hit Venus.
The
actress, best known for her work as Sophia Burset on the hit Netflix
series, did not leave much to the imagination in her rather risque
ensemble.
Risque: The Orange Is The New Black star got intimate with a male dancer
on stage while rocking a see-through black corset and matching frilly
mini skirt
She
also wore black leather sleeves which ended at her biceps and
accessorised with an intricate necklace featuring plenty of beads.
Laverne
wore her voluminous highlighted brown tresses into curls flowing over
her shoulders as she had bold make-up on her face topped off with a
swipe of dark red lip.
The
Musical Chairs star even upped the raunchiness by putting on a
highly-suggestive display with a male dancer on a red leather couch. She
even ripped off a dancer's thong at the end of her routine.
Epic conclusion: The dance session concluded with Laverne ripping off a male dancer's thong
No
doubt the actress was happy to participate in the event as she posted
an image of herself getting glammed up while celebrity hairdresser
Daniel Koye worked on her locks.
She
captioned the photo to her 1.1million followers with the inspiring
message: 'Backstage at #BroadwayBares last night. There will likely be
more Bares photos.
'I
had the time of my life doing this event and was so moved by the power
of @bcefa and have been thinking about the work of so many organizations
and activists over rhe years who have come together to fight HIV/AIDS
and save lives. #JerryMitchell and #NickKenkel Bravo. Let's end AIDS.
Back in black: She looked happy to be at the event as she beamed before taking the stage in the racy look
Almost time: Laverne posted an image on Instagram of herself getting glammed up while celebrity hairdresser Daniel Koye worked on her locks
Laverne -
who is both transgender and plays transgender inmate Sophia Burset on
OITNB - has become a social and style icon since joining the popular
series.
The
star's fame is already being recognised worldwide and Madame Tussauds
recently announced the actress will be the first transgender person to
be immortalized in wax by the famed museum.
'I am so deeply honored to have been asked to be part of the Madame Tussauds legacy,' Laverne said in a statement.
She
went on: 'When I think about being who I am, a black trans woman from a
working class background raised in Mobile, Alabama, this honor feels
even more improbable and extraordinary.'
