The dress, which is made by Manchester-based OMG Fashion has cap sleeves and comes to the knee - and is not for the shy.
Its close-fitting style comes in sizes eight to 22, and it's available in coral, wine, black, white and grey.
Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway tweeted a picture of herself in the dress this morning, but although it suited her well in wine and flattered her figure, there's a chance it needs to be tried on before stepping out to set the clubs alight.
OMG Fashion were also answering critics on Twitter who asked if the dress was produced by sweatshop labour.
Their response was: "It's manufactured in Leicester and bound by UK laws."
Followed by: "It costs us more than 99p to buy this dress, we are clearly making a loss, it is a PR stunt. The dress is made in the UK."
Made from 95% viscose and 5% elastane, it's clearly not for girls who enjoy natural fibres close to their skin, but at that price it may persuade buyers for a one-time wear.
The website details that it's 77cm long approximately and the model pictures in the dress, Francesca, is 5ft 5in wearing a small to medium.
Fashion fans are in a lather over a dress which gives you change from a pound - and even Kate Garraway seems impressed
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the hype, the OMG Fashion dress had sold out as of Friday lunchtime, but as OMG Fashion revealed, the PR which it'll have garnered for the site - and other items sold on there - will have been absolutely priceless.
