Special delivery: Breda Bivens and Amie Cotton are now colleagues
Despite bringing thousands of babies into the world Breda
Bivens recognises name telling co-worker "I brought you into the world"
A midwife has been left stunned by her new colleague who turned out to be a girl she delivered nearly 25-years-ago.
Although
she has helped bring thousands of newborns into the world, Breda Bivens
instantly recognised the name of new co-worker Amie Cotton when she
clocked on saying: "I brought you into the world back in 1991!"
The pair are now both working in the labour ward at University Hospital, Coventry, and in an even stranger coincidence both share the same birthday, June 16.
Amie, 24, said: "I couldn't believe it when I was told that Breda had delivered me.

Colleagues: Breda and Amie both now work at the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire
"It is so strange to think that one of your work colleagues
was there at the first stages of your life, but I am glad that I met her
and now work alongside her."
Breda added: "You deliver so many babies over the course of your career but you never expect to end up working with one of them.
"It was a real pleasure to have met Amie and to have her as one of my colleagues."
Amie qualified as a midwife in September 2013 and joined her local NHS trust in October 2013.
Breda started working for Coventry's Walsgrave Hospital in 1972, moving to University Hospital in December 2004.
