Performing acrobatics by the sea in sunny Barbados, Kai Rooney celebrated an early start to the summer holidays.
The five-year-old was showing off his athletic prowess as his mother Coleen watched in her bikini.
The
fashion designer, 29, took her eldest son out of school early so he
could enjoy a family holiday with his brother Klay, two, and football
star father Wayne, 29.

Rooney,
who has to report back to Manchester United on Monday for training,
took advantage of his final days of freedom to have fun being towed
along in a rubber boat with Klay.
Kai
attends a £3,000 a year preparatory school but appears to have been
taken out of class nearly two weeks before term officially ends on
Friday July 10.
Several
of Mrs Rooney’s Facebook followers questioned her decision after she
posted pictures of Kai and Klay playing on the beach.
One
wrote: ‘Just a question. With it not being the kids school holidays yet
do ye have to pay a fine for taking them out of school?’ Another added:
‘Lovely pic but why aren’t they in school.’

jumped to her defence, with one writing: ‘It’s hard to get a family
holiday without taking them out of school when their dad is a
footballer! Footballing dads are in pre season when the school holidays
fall!’
Another
said: ‘I know a few mums who have been fined for this but to be honest I
dont think the kids will be doing much in school this time of year.’
If
a parent takes their child out of school without permission, they could
face a maximum penalty of a £2,500 fine – peanuts for £250,000-a-week
Rooney – or three months in prison.
Sources
close to the family said they had been given permission to take Kai out
of school before the end of term. A representative for Mrs Rooney
declined to comment.

Coleen recently claimed regular date nights is the secret to their long-term relationship.
'We've had our ups and downs and it's been tough at times but we've had so many happy ones too,' she told MailOnline.
'It's just about being as strong individually as we are together and that's all that can happen in a relationship.
'Also
now that we have two kids, we make sure that we have time together. We
make sure that one night a week we go out for dinner or go to the
cinema.'
