The National Executive Council Meeting of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has just ended at the national headquarters of the party in Abuja, with President Muhammadu Buhari leaving before the end of the meeting.
In a brief chat with journalists after the meeting, Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State said the meeting ended peacefully, adding that those who had expected the meeting to end rancorously have been disappointed.
Oshiomhole said the fact that President Buhari left Aso Rock to attend the meeting at the party’s secretariat means that the party is supreme, insisting that the outcome of the meeting was a pointer that APC was coming out of its crisis stronger.
The NEC meeting is part of the efforts by the leadership of the party to solve the crisis that has been rocking it since the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki and Hon. Yakubu Dogara as Senate President and Speaker respectively.

However, two frontline leaders of the party, its National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Interim Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, were conspicuously absent from the meeting.
