Everybody should have the right to marry whomever they love - even Mariachis.
A
confused Lady Gaga shared a photo of herself on Sunday on her hotel
balcony declaring her support for the gay pride march below... except it
wasn't a gay pride march.
The
29-year-old singer opened her jacket to reveal just a bra underneath
and the words 'Gay Pride' scrawled across her chest and stomach... but
didn't realise it was in fact the Chicago Mariachi and Folklórico
Festival in the background.
The
fail was spotted by the festival organisers shortly after Mother
Monster Instagrammed: 'Watching over Chicago Pride from my apartment and
smiling so big. So many happy people. Happy pride!! #lovewins'.
'This
is just about the coolest things I ever saw. It feels good to know how
many of my friends and loved ones are out celebrating and feeling
valued. #lovewins,' she wrote in a second post.
But the city's pride parade was actually taking place in the city's Uptown and Lakeview neighborhoods, nowhere near her hotel.
Instead
her balcony was overlooking the Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium
Park... and she was overlooking the fact that everyone down there was
wearing a sombrero.
'Lady
Gaga shares a photo yesterday overlooking the Mariachi & Folklorico
Festival at Millennium Park from her hotel room, thinking it was
Chicago's Pride Fest! "So many people" she says! Thank you again for
helping us make history!,' the Mariachi Heritage Foundation wrote on its
Facebook account.
It
didn't take one of the followers long to photoshop a sombrero of her
own onto her head, and changing her lipstick message to 'Mariachi
Pride'.
Meanwhile, the trumpet tattoo on her right bicep never looked more apt.
Ay-yay-yay! It didn't take one of the
followers long to photoshop a sombrero of her own onto her head, and
changing her lipstick message to 'Mariachi Pride'.
The
Born This Way star is an ardent supporter of gay rights, and also
shared a TBT photo from when she posted a similar pic in London - where
presumably got the location correct.
'Throwback
for London Pride,' she wrote in the snap, in which she wears nothing
but a pick PVC bra on top and 'PRIDE' written across her midriff. 'I
think this was taken in 2009. I can tell by the lack of tattoos!!'
On
Monday Gaga posted another selfie, and in the caption revealed why she
might not have received all the emails telling her of her blunder.
'Hyaluronic
Mask Check. Double Espresso Check. Cellphone with emails I wish not to
read check,' she wrote in the close-up. 'MONDAY I AM READY FOR YOU.'
And just a few days before, when the news of the decision broke, the singer was in New York showing her pride again.
Gaga created her own custom t-shirt for the celebrations that were happening in Central Park.
She
shared an Instagram of herself dancing in a Nirvana t-shirt while she
created the rainbow design with the caption: '#lovewins'
In another snap, the songstress poses behind a rainbow flag with the words 'Little Monster Pride' on it.
The singer was seen out and about in New York wearing her LBGT pride shirt as she walked her dog Asia.
Teaming
the statement top with some ripped boyfriend jeans and chunky platform
shoes, the singer looked overjoyed about the landmark ruling.
She also wore round-rimmed glasses as she threw up a peace sign.
